Bethlehem

Artist’s Collection. The arbitrary demarcation of borders in Bethlehem has made it a place of bloodshed. For Palestinians, they have no currency other than the Shekel, their currency of their oppressors. Here a Palestinian flag is crafted from the shekel, while a folded Star of David dollar watches form above.

Artists bio: Psyfer was born in 1991 in Hammersmith and studied Politics at Newcastle University. He is fascinated by the semiotics of power, the numerical language of value and the evolving field of digital numismatics. He supports open-source software and the democratization of information. Psyfer lives and works in London.
